The Philosophy of Buying Happiness
The search for happiness is
human endeavour, a universal goal.
The saying “Money can’t buy happiness” is oft cited. Throughout the ages, numerous philosophers have denounced any conventional notions of happiness involving money, power, leisure and fame as lesser, if not completely false, forms of happiness. In the twenty-first century, however, people are realising that you could actually “buy” happiness.
It’s time to “re-write” the philosophy of buying happiness in a three-part editorial series that encompasses the ideology of buying happiness.
It will act as a guide for readers to understand
what it means to buy happiness.
