This painting revolves around the theme of contrast, in particular the contrast between nature and urbanisation. As the world becomes more developed and as urbanisation intensifies, the cities we live in grows larger and large, its sprawling mass destroying much of the greenery mother nature has
provided us with.
In my painting, I depict mother nature as pure, clean and wholesome. And in contrast, urban sprawl as destruction and terror. Between the contrast sits the reason, namely us humans. We are the cause of this contrast, and yet, all we do is stare on, with no intention making a change.
